I bought a used GCII(I think it's a II)
3 feet match, 1 doesn't. The 'doesn't' is the same profile and shape but is at least 2 times heavier and has green cagatha corrosion in full bloom.
I'm looking for one more that matches the '3' that are the same.
Casting #: E74258 on the 3 that match.
There are dates that were hand scribed into the molds: 8-7-63/8-8-63/8-27-63.
.............
On the mismatched/corroded one-
Casting #: D212079
13400
Anodize:
Anybody done this on castings or feet? Thinking 'Satin Nickle'. What do I have to do to prepare or know about the material (aluminum vs potmetal?) to have this done.
Probably do the ball holder and ball box trim too if possible.
Chrome or highly polished pocket castings set off migraines from reflected sunlight or table lights for me sometimes. The klaidescope light show that follows in my field of vision for an hour-I could do without. The visual inconvenience and headache outweigh the entertainment value of the 'aura' thing.
Thanks for your help.
ps: Thanks Donny for your help on the rail work and advice in general.
