It should be a great tournament with many excellent players.

For icing on the cake there is the 'Southern Cue and Case Show' being held in conjunction with the tournament.

On display will be cues and cases from several great cuemakers, a couple of custom case makers and collectors.

Players auction starts at 5:00 PM sharp followed by a player meeting, a meet and greet, and a dinner buffet (players only).
Tournament play starts Friday 7:30 PM
Dress Code: Absolutely NO Jeans or white tennis shoes. Polo shirts or mocks shirts must be tucked in your pants. If you wear tennis shoes they must be black.

It does indeed sound like it is going to be a tough field.
 
Sounds great I hope this really takes off and is a big success every year ... It would be very nice to have something like this in Georgia seeing we are pretty much central to the South East and have a major airport nearby where people can access the venue pretty easy .... It only makes sense and is good for the game and everyone involved.

I would pick Johnny to be wearing it when it is over if it were not for all the other distractions that come along with it being held in his home room. But he still might pull it off.

I registered Saturday for the Gem City Classic and was told that they would have new Simonis 860 put on the tables right before the tournament. Are you saying something different or are you saying that Simonis has an Aramith signature cloth now? Thanks.

Whoever told you the tables would be covered in Simonis 860 was mistaken. The tables will be covered with Aramith Tournament cloth. This cloth has been several years in the making. It is a thicker and tighter weave version to it sister cloth Aramith Pro Velocity. This cloth will become the standard in the Industry due to its playability, longevity, and cost.
 
Hey Tikkitavi... Any thoughts about getting the UFC fight Saturday night? It doesn't come on until about 10-ish, so it shouldn't be on to interfere with the tournament too much. Just throwing it out there again...
