Gem City Classic - Question for Joey A

This is directed toward my buddy Joey A.:wink:

I read some of your posts in reference to Gem City - especially enjoyed the "King of 10 Ball Thread'.

My question: I heard something about 'rules' at the event. Could you elaborate, please? (Call shot - limited jump usage).

I have not heard much about this and am curious.

You may (of course) include your opinions of these changes.

This event is part of the Seminole Tour. Their rule on jump shots is you get 2 jumps with a jump cue per set, after those 2 all jumps must be with a full length cue. Here's a link to the rules of the tour: http://semprotour.com/rules

7.) FROZEN Q Ball- When a Q-Ball is frozen to an object ball the shooter must do the following:

Draw the Q-Ball away from the object ball. (Q-Ball must not pass the object ball)

The shooter must jack up at a 45 degree angle and shoot towards either edge of the object ball.

... that seems like an odd rule? designed to try and eliminate push-shot arguments?

Hey Mark, the main addition to your rules at the us open 10 ball is that when call a ball and miss your opponent has the choice to give you back the shot.

You can call a 2 way shot only on the 10 ball but you must call the object ball and the 10. If you miss the 10 in this situation then you must make the other object ball.

I like these rules alot
