There will be so many complaints about the league players taking up space. Just like last year. Not me though. The league players need to be exposed to the pro venues. This will help them learn and drive the sport even more toward the public. Just my opinion. Sam

Satman,
I already have my reservation made for DCC - I just haven't decided yet whether to play or watch. Drop down to Indy some weekend if you would like some tuning up for DCC - we can play any game you like (and table time is free - unless my wife makes you take out the garbage or something).

i don't get why they don't have a women's event? It seems like a great venue for a wpba Q'er?

I always thought the DCC philosophy was that everyone should play. It’s cheaper to play than to watch. Maybe with the growing popularity things have changed but at least that is what I remember being told a few years back.

That being said I’ll be watching someone roll over me in the 9 ball. I have my reservations also.

With 500+ players the tables are packed in every nook and cranny (including the chapel) and they are busy 18 hours a day. So there probably is not enough room.

Yeah. You can enter the first discipline (one-pocket I think) for $50 or so and get a pass to watch all week. A lot of people do that.

Banks is the first event and I believe it's a $75.00 entry fee. Still, if you're going to be there the whole time, you save money entering Banks instead of buying a morning and evening pass each day.

Are there any AZ'ers that are planning to meet up anytime at the Derby? I'll be there from late Fiday evening (opening day) until Monday afternoon. I wish I had the time to take off of work to attend the entire week, but a new job comes with little vacation time. If anyone is planning to get together, please let the rest of us out here know.

Thanks!
