Hi all

Here we have an absolute masterpiece in the form of wood, silver, abalone and ivory. This is the Andy Gilbert Ivory Starburst cue, the mother cue to the Snakewood Starburst I bought at Valley Forge.

Description as follows:

10 point ivory cue. 10 double milled ivory points with sterling silver borders inlaid into beautifully figured maple burl with a dark stain. Ivory mid section has sterling silver, abalone and burl inlays, silver rings and ivory spears atop each point. Sterling silver diamonds and dots in the ringwork. 3/8x10 ivory tipped pin, flat faced ivory block joint. Ivory butt cap with Gilbert 07. Two matching shafts, both 13mm with ivory ferrules. Fancy matching joint protectors. Weight is over 20oz. Comes with a Gilbert logoed Whitten case.

Excellent photos by Ken Kerner (thank you Ken). This cue is as serious as it gets. Its a massive collectable and has come straight from a prominent cue collection. If you are into your ivory cues, don't miss this opportunity.

Cash price is SOLD anywhere on the globe. I can normally take in part trades but not in this instance, its cash only with this one people, my apologies. PM me or email to simon.dvali@ntlworld.com

Sincerely

Si

What an incredible cue. Cues are a better investment than the stockmarket and this one is a blue chip.

I really like the look of this cue...well, mostly. :o I mean, this cue is obviously not a cue to actually play with.

I'd love to have the part from the middle to the joint. Cut it right above the current middle section, making the current middle section the butt sleeve, and add a wrap between it and the forearm (I'm thinking black leather), and it'd be a really nice player IMHO.

If & when I go with a custom cue, built to what i want, I'm definitely keeping this in mind.
