Don't think you will drool much. Not really Fancy Gus cues. The Ginacues were drooling cues. Will post pics tomorrow, battery on camera was dead. Hope I made the right decision to switch to Szamboti's . Will find out at the Hopkins Expo. A dealer at the DCC said anyone can order or buy a Ginacue but you can't order or buy a Gus Szamboti. We were speaking about prices be high in Japan, for general living, and I said it's not so bad here. Cues on the other hand are outrageous. The 2 Gina cues in your photo (Rainbow with the silver veneers and the ebony with the 8 ivory points) those 2 cues sell for $18,000 for the rainbow and $12,000 for the ebony. It's unreal. Of course the shop will give a discount. I'd say 15 for the rainbow and 10 for the ebony.

I sold a used Rainbow just like yours for $9,000

Sherman sure had some dandy gus

I was looking over my new favorite gus...

Favorite because I didnt get it, but wish I did.

Here are the pics of the Szamboti's. I sure thought the Ginacues were very beautiful cues, but I decided to get the Gus cues. Casey

Those are sweet, man. I'd especially like the butt end of the center cue with the points of the top one with the red veneers. Good work on the trade off, man.

You know Casey, I have never tried to play with a Gina for any length of time, but my Gus has unseated all comers for use as my daily cue. I am hoping to find one, newer cue, eventually that I like as much. I have two being built now, hopefully I can get close.

I hit one ball with the Gus at the DCC. I'm going to play with it Thursday night for about 6 hrs. I think that it will become my new playing cue. Will let you know. Casey

Hit with the Gus Thursday night, what a fantastic hitting cue. My problem is I think it is too heavy for me. 21.1 oz Will keep trying to get use to it. Casey

Don't think!! Evaluate the results;)

Albeit in a way I agree with ribdoner, I used to own Skips 5th cue as shown on cueaddicts site. I sold it because of the weight. It hit really solid and I had a hard time deciding what to do. But weight is probably the single most, bothersome spec of a cue to get "used" to. Tough call...

Well it took a little adjustment but the weight seems to help me with the cue ball. Every shot seems like I do not have to stroke as hard. Follow shots were very easy up and down the table. With a lighter cue (18.9 oz) I always had to hit everything hard. Maybe it is the cue or my imagination but I think a heavier cue is better for me. JMO. and I will be changing. Thanks, Casey
