My Gina Player... Just ordered a really fancy one this month so I figured I needed some great protection for it once it gets here.

Modified Pelican 1700 Gun Case. Airtight, Watertight, Dustproof, Crushproof Protection for your cues.

Took me about an hour to customize the foam but it turned out perfect.. they don't move at all inside the case.

This thing is HEAVY DUTY. I'm certain I could run over it with a car without a problem. Great rubber seal for waterproof protection and holds up to 4 large padlocks. Weighs close to 20 pounds.

I've had Zero Halliburtons before and they are awesome but they scratch up and dent so dang easily... this case is waaay tougher all around.

Anyway, here are some pics... let me know what you think!

Well, some people think that you don't need this level of protection. They feel that it's ok to have cues rattling around and clanking against each other and that cues need "airflow" in an unsealed environment.

I personally think that this setup is the NUTS. Those Pelican cases are super tough and built to withstand just about anything. They really ought to make them sized for pool cues.

That's about the only place I would give the Haliburton the advantage, that they are sized for cues.

For traveling you really can't much better than this. Thanks for the pics.

I agree with JB on this. Pelican makes the world's best cases and I wish they had an option for pool cues.

I have three Pelicans I use for my photography equipment and I can't say enough good things about them.

Nice, I had near the same Case and Tommy aka Hangemhigh steal that from me include 2500$:(:sad::help:
Ralf-still hoping

Within the last couple days I advised somebody to do exactly what you did.

Great case.

Pelican is only one manufacturer, probably the best known, but there are others that make similar cases.

There are other manufacturers that make other style tough cases as well....like Americase and others....that make road style cases that are easily adapted to cues.

For anybody that wants a cheaper alternative that wouldn't be as strong but would definitely be a good travel case, check out Plano cases.

Generally speaking tactical shotgun cases are better in size, rifle cases tend to be too long. There are lots of brands/options that are the correct length if you look at hard tactical shotgun cases.

About ten years ago I contacted a military contractor that custom made portable wireless fax machines. They were custom built for the military inside Pelican cases. I had one made for our guy that worked in the field for our company at that time. It was a beast to say the least. The latches on it were so strong and tight that when I was demonstrating it for the CEO I unlatched it and the latch snapped open so hard it slapped my knuckle and broke my finger. Tough case. Definitely.

I love it!!!! And you're right it sure beats any haliburton or rimowa..
