Ginacue Titlist (1 of 1)

If you ever sell it, I'll change my name to yours, and buy Ernie dinner. Great looking cue. Enjoy it. I'm going to cry now. Rod.

Joe, who acquired the Titleist? Did you find it or did Ernie find it lying around in a box of motorcycle parts or something?

Anyway, it's a good one.

I bought it from Nebrgas right HERE on AZ, I think I paid $300. It didn't look like much then but it turned out pretty sweet!

Now that you mention it though, I think I'll have a look in some of those parts boxes!...:)

Hey Joe, enjoy it to the fullest. You know how special I think Ernie is. I am happy you are able to spend time with him. I would too if I wasn't 3 thousand miles away. Getting to visit his shop and meet you is a fond memory of mine.

He has two special ones in his current batch for me. I am getting anxious. Couple of months away.

Best,
JimmyK

Had the opportunity to play a few balls with a roughly 20-year-old ivory-jointed Gina six-pointer with nice inlays everywhere and boxes in the butt sleeve yesterday, belongs to a compatriot and cue collector, very nice hit. I've seen so many Ginas with impressive inlay work, but if I had to choose one to play with, yours would be my favourite. Most definitely a keeper. Congratulations!

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

I debated about selling this Titlist to Joe (or anyone) as it was a very nice, unmolested cue. After seeing the results, there is no doubt it was "meant to be" and I am pleased that I could be part of the process.

Nice...

Im not usually a fan of EG's style but this cue is spot on classic player!!!
the phenolic and wrap are spot on!...I think playing with that you automatically have to give up the 6-7 ball?!

I have the good fortune to count Ernie among my best friends. He will no longer make cues under 5K so getting a Titlist conversion out of him these days is (almost) impossible. I would guess for 5K he might.

This is the only cue of his I've ever seen without a stainless or ivory joint, truly one of a kind. It's exactly the same spec as all his joints, 5/16x18, and accepts his standard size pin & shafts. I've seen every cue he has made in the last few years and I don't think I'd trade this one for any of them, it's exactly what I like.

It should be done soon but I couldn't wait to post a few pics.....

The veneers are in great shape

I know this hurts the resale, but I'll never sell it...

He used some 40 something year old (unobtainium) Cortland linen from a 60's cue he rewrapped in leather...

And the nicest piece of Cocobola he had in the shop....

He's almost done with the two shafts, both with the same phoenalic as the joint and butt plate, made from some of his oldest and best maple. Then a bumper on the butt and Finito, I can't wait!

That is some MAGNIFICENT looking Cocobolo!

Great looking Gina Titlist...

I love Titlist and to have one made by Ernie, wow!

I have one and only one Gina cue made with a Spain Blank, it is awesome.

Maybe some day I could talk Ernie into making me a Titlist conversion, I hope!

Enjoy the cue.

Regards,

Joe
