Does anyone have any information regarding the quality and playability of these tables?

Thanks

To be honest I never played on one I don't think. I went to their web site and it sounds like their made well. I would do a search on AZ for Global pool tables and also ask in the pool table mechanic forum. I remember someone talking about them on here. Johnnyt

Up here in NW Wa. State, there are quite a few Globals around. Also Dynamos, Valleys, Irving Kayes, Imperials, Qualities, American Games, Brunswicks, etc. -- you get the idea.

Of all the above listed tables, considering ONLY the coin-op type you find in bars (which is what I think you're asking about), in terms of tough construction, set-up, playability and all-round long-lasting and dependable consistency, equally at the TOP OF THE LIST are the Valleys (and NOT the Dynamos!), Brunswicks and Globals. Next best table (very small step down) would be the Irving Kaye. The Globals' pockets seem to play slightly tighter than the Valleys and Brunswicks.

If you think you're looking at a good deal on a Global, TAKE IT!!!

P.S. -- never seen a Diamond, yet -- we're too poor up here :D

Global is a small family owned company that makes excellent tables, both big and small. I used them in a couple of big tournaments in Los Angeles. And put their bar tables in a couple of casinos, that got heavy play with no problems. Very nice people to work with also. I think their factory is in Carson, California. That's a Los Angeles suburb.
