Glove/Grip Hand

Not sure if what you're after is increased grip, but if so then you might want to check out the slip-on rubber sleeves that three-cushion players commonly put over the butts of their cues. Assuming yours doesn't have a wrap, of course.

I think Earl uses a hockey glove (like what the goalie wears). You might want to try that.

your mistaken. the glove he uses on his grip hand is a KLgauntlet. Effective, but I find them a bit too flashy. Too... "Look at me, Look at me!!!". The bridge hand is a hockey glove

I've been using a golf glove on my cue hand for a few weeks while I'm figuring out if I have a reaction to chalk? maybe. After a while I don't even notice it. On some shots I actually like it. I did order a wrapless cue as a test also.

Any gloves out there for the back hand?

One of our local guys shoots one handed using a golf glove, FWIW. Don't know which kind he uses but if you want to know, ask and I will check it out for you.

BTW, what is the worldbilliardtour.com?

Why do you ask? Just recently I've been considering using a glove or at the very least a band-aid on my thumb. The first crease on my thumb, closest to the nail, is callused and it has split a few times. I know when I bowled lots that my thumb was really beat up, used lots of New-skin.

Paul, here's copy of a current thread 'Good Wood' and why I asked about the glove (my personal cue has linen):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Was out and about during xmas, stopped in to visit with a friend/owner of a bar/bowing alley. We shot a few games on the bar box, I picked out a 16oz stick, it was dead straight and felt good just holding it. After hitting a few balls I realized this cue hit "way" good. Upon close inspection of this near new Valley/rosewood butt bar stick, I noticed, ALL of the maple wood forearm had lengthwise grain lines, no knots NONE, just these end too end parallel wood lines, it looked like a railroad yard. It hit very solid....felt like a much heavier cue, I swapped my break stick for it without hesitation, the wood grain is like a 40 inch perfect maple shaft.

Earl plays with a Head racquetball glove on his break hand. His theory is... His hand will stay in place consistently whether breaking or running balls and the grip of the glove with the wrap or wood will not slip! I know because he gave me one and let me try it while we were doing a lesson. I bet Mike Gulyassy could resond to this better than anyone ( besides "The Pearl" himself!

Yeah...let me know on the glove....I own the domain name and I'm working with investors in Nevada to get it up and running, hopefully this year.
