This is what I use for all wood! Period. When I build or repair a guitar which is under constant pressure, it works! Easy clean up with water and paper towel it is fantastic. The bond is tighter and stronger than the wood itself. Titebond of any number 1, 2, or 3 would work as long as you glue up with a generous amount of squeeze out. That is what it is made for. You need enough clamping pressure to get the cure the bond. That is the real trick behind using titebond.
