glue and bar box rails.

I've been searching for info on recovering bar box rails. I see alot of you use glue and only staple the ends. I'm gonna try that myself this time. I've got a question before I start though. How do you spray the glue and stretch the cloth and not make a mess?
 
Carefull planning skillfull planning. Wait for glue to tack up then apply less mess

I understand and I wish it was that simple. To make a long story short 2 employees of the bar recover the tables every year before our "memorial tournament". It was a trade off. The owner would buy 860 Simonis but wouldn't pay a mech. So they learned by getting advice and trial and error. They have been doing a great job regardless. I've been helping for a couple years and I was looking for better ways to do the rails. I was checking the forum and found that Cobra and some of the other top mech's prefer to glue rather than staple. I just figured I'd ask before I made a mess.
