Antique Billiards Museum is adjacent to the Citadel Shopping Center on the south side of Galley Road and east of Academy Blvd. Big place, probably 40 tables, all sizes andbrands mostly Diamonds. It has a lot of billiard history on the walls and he has a nice collection of vintage cues.

Corner Pocket is right around the corner on the west side of Academy between Galley Road and Constitution.

Two or three other Corner Pockets in town.

Sticks Billiards on the corner of Barnes and Templeton Gap Road, they have been going through some new owners so I don't know their status.

If you are looking for some action, Antique Billiards is the place. The Citadel area has gone down in the last few years just FYI.

I would like to meet some other AZBrs and play a little also.

I'll be in C. Spgs on Sunday. Guess I have to go to the Antique Billiard Museum. That sounds like a cool place! I've been to the CP off of Academy a dozen times, but not to the other two. Where are they?

I played there a couple of times during my visit last year. Nice place and the owner was a really cool guy.

Here ya go:

Antique Billiard Museum

3628 Citadel Dr N
Colorado Springs, CO 80909

(719) 597-9809

Russ....

Antiques and Sticks are the only places to go. Enough said. Chris, the new owner at Sticks is a very friendly guy and will do almost anything for the pool players. Antiques has a good little tournament friday night at about 8 played on the bar tables. Sticks has a big table tournament sunday at 5. Both are 9-ball. Don't bother with any of the Corner Pockets. I'll pm you my number. Call me when you want to play.

Antiques:
From Southbound I25
Exit Academy Blvd and head south on Academy (left at the light)
Right on Galley
First legal left turn into the Citadel Mall
First left into the small parking lot and you can't miss it.

Sticks Billiards
From Southbound I25
Exit Garden of the Gods Rd and head east (left at the light)
Barnes is a weird 3 street intersection. Take a 45 degree left turn
Take the first left into the parking lot.

Thanks for the responses

Thanks for the responses. It looks like antiques is the place. I fly in Sunday the 9th @ 9:30 pm so that day is out and I leave Friday @ 1:00PM so that day is out also. It looks like we have enough of a response maybe we could get a group of us together on any other day. I am tentatively going to suggest Tuesday. Is there anyone that can't make it that day and wants to suggest another? I am open to any one of those. Those that are interested just post to let us know you might be able to make it.

P.S. Drew I got your number thx. SS wait till we figure out what day and we can all get together.

I have a pretty open schedule so that sounds good to me. A couple of beers and some AZBrs, it doesn't get any better than that.

I'm in.

Scott,
Stop in and say hello to the owner of Antiques, Jim Barber - he loves the game as much as the rest of us :)

I can see you guys haven't been around for awhile...

Last I heard:
Cowboy moved, I haven't seen him in months.
Wes doesn't make cues anymore, I haven't seen him in forever either.
Aside from his Friday night tournament, Jim Barber doesn't play pool anymore.

WOW! sorry to hear it on all three counts. I left there about two years ago - a lot has changed then. the regulars were always Ruben, Nick and Nate Smith, and Jeff. are they still around?

Oh yeah, those guys are always around.

I first met Nick about a year and a half ago. He gave me 50 points on the snooker table and proceeded to stomp the living hell out of me. We haven't gambled since then but we've gotten to be pretty good friends. In fact, I sleep in his garage at least 3 nights a week.

I beat Nate 4-1 in a tournament the other night. One of my proudest moments.

I've been seeing less and less Jeff the past few months. But he does show his face every once in awhile.

Ruben is making cues these days. He's getting pretty darn decent at it too.

I'm sure you know some of the other pieces of furniture. Pugs, Shaky, Mario, and the gypsies. They're all still hanging around.

I have moved a lot and enjoy each new pool scene although they are always the same - just new faces, but it tickles me a little that Colorado Springs hasn't changed all that much and the young gun slingers are still blazin. These guys have tons of talent - hope they are doing great and life has been gentle on them. Next time you see Nick, tell him he has the 6  just teasin.:D

Cowboy still comes to Denver to work on tables at Table Steaks, and plays a little one pocket when he is here.

Antique Billiards is the place

I havn't been involved in the CS pool scene for awhile. Used to be very involved in the 70's, 80's and 90's. I don't get out too much anymore except for some golf. Cowboy used to cover my tables in the 80's at the Galaxy Lounge in Cimarron Hills. The only old timer that I know at Antiques is Tony Cisineros he is still there. I was good friends with his son Jerry, we played on the same team for many years. Have a great day!
