Well, as for my visit to Stixx and Stones in Bremerton. I ended up showing up at around 7pm and not too many people in the place, which really didn't bother me. I was told by Allen(individual behind the counter) that Mondays is the BCA league night for the bars, but most the players show up later in the night. Well I got a rack of balls and decided to just see how bad I can miss on a 9 footer.
The Brunswicks play great and were very well kept, as a matter of fact the place was extremely clean and you can tell that the owner/employee's take pride in providing a quality product. Why do I say that? You know when you go to some places and they hand you a rack of balls, or you see them behind the counter and there's black marks all over them or they are just dirty as all get out and you say to yourself "are you kidding me". Well, when Allen gave me a set, I immediately noticed how clean they were and looking at all the other sets, they were the same way. Then walking to my table I noticed there just wasn't anything out of place on any table in the place, Racks all stowed, three pieces of chalk on each table, no fingerprints on the table, no chalk marks, just all around impressive. Also, this just didn't apply to the pool tables, the seating, tables, the lights, everything was just spot on.
Well I ended up hitting balls for three hours by myself and come to the realization the there weren't going to be any BCA league players coming in so I asked Allen to play some. We played for fun for another 1 1/2 hours and I called it a night. It was so nice not having to hit the ball 110, but then it showed me how bad my touch game has become,,,,I definitely need to work on getting rid of a "heavy hand".
Overall I am disappointed in not meeting any AZrs, but I did get to play on quality tables for 4 1/2 hours for a total of $20 and I just cant complain about that.
Junior, even though we never met, you own a very nice place that I would recommend to all, wish you the best of luck.
Thanks
Paul
