Steve Rector get 2nd or 3rd??? He is a friend of mine. In fact, at the monthly Southrock tournament the first Saturday of the month, I was kidding him about the square brown case he has. He has carried a case like that for over 30 years. He told me it was a new one.

He had bought the same exact case as he carried for years and years, and was in sad shape. He told me he still had the old one .... :o

I told him it reminded me of a Volvo.

The Hillbilly won by a score of 9-4 over Manual Ayala of Houston. harlie played well, but not much Manual's way. That's 9 ball.

Third went to the TD himself Paul Blank who is having hot flashes or I mean falshbacks of his younger days lately. He played reall well.

Fourtg went to James Davis Sr of the Austin area. He is always there and always tough

That is the best I can do from memory. The girlfriend is off to work and as God intended, I'm back to bed.
 
Who won in the Chen vs. Martinez match? Did Chen avenge me? :p

Hillbilly knocked Martinez into the losers bracked by the score of 9-1... I later faced Martinez who gave me a bagel, 7-0. He played great!

Thanks for the dinner Ray! George's is one heck of a restaurant!

Chen lost, I had a side bet getting one game, was tied 4-4 with Chen breaking, Chen Broke and ran out, Now up 5-4, Martinez broke but the 6 ball was tied up, Martinez dogged the 3, Chen at the table, 6,9 and 8 left on the table. I appeared that Chen could play a carom or bank the six, well he didn't make either and Martinez made a table length shot on the 6, went 3 rails and got out, Now tied 5-5. Chen broke, didn't pocket any thing, Martinez ran out, Than Martinez broke and ran out. Final score 7-5.
I lost my bet getting one game on the wire, Chen played a little shakey at the start, IMO cost him the match.

I was good to see you over that Samiel, later.
