to pay for the 5x10 snooker table! My wife and I are excited. We have some friends that will move it for us, just have to schedule a time.

I'd be overjoyed just to be going to Kalispell, let alone paying for a snooker table, too! Enjoy!

Okay, let's try to answer some questions. The table is located at the Kalispell Eagles. Apparently, two trustees bought it and sold it to the lodge thinking it would make money. I guess that didn't happen. The table is a 5x10 Brunswick. It has legs like a gold crown but does not have a badge with the model name on it. It looks to have fairly new cloth (not high end, but I hope to reuse for now). The skirts are not on it, but they say they have them. I did not see them, however. The rails seem in pretty good condition. There are some chips out of the legs, but not bad. We paid only $400 so we are quite excited. I know that snooker is not a popular game here, but I think for our man cave it will be a nice addition to the 8' pool table.

bsmutz - We lived in the Vancouver area (Vancouver and Camas) for 31 years. Just moved to Flathead Lake here in Montana a little over 3 years ago.

Wow...$400 thats not even fair. What a lucky guy

Yes, we think that is a great price. We are going to spend more to install than the table cost, but we want it done right.

How about a picture?

I chased my table all the way to Florida and brought back a great prize - it's my avatar

I have been trying to get my wife to take a picture while I am at work. She has been cleaning up the skirts. We need to install them and then research how to post pictures. We will, hopefully soon.

Let me see pictures of the table when you get them. Would like to see how it turned out since I picked it up a couple years ago near Charlo, it didn't have the slates, and the old gentleman who had it said it was from Billings if I remember correctly. If I would have had room for it I would have loved to keep it. Sorry it didn't work out for the Eagles. But glad its going to be used - would love to play on it. And congrats on your move to the Flathead.

Interesting information, Jack. It has a University of Montana inventory sticker on one of the skirts. Wonder how long ago that was.

My understanding was it was in this family for awhile. My neighbors moved from Billings or maybe Bozeman to Charlo (to retire) and had a log house built (maybe 10 years ago). Moved the table but the son kept the slates. The old gentleman was in his late 70's or so and asked me to find a home for it. Moved it myself out of a 2nd story garage/shop down some mighty rickty steps (surprised me since house looked like it was in some fashion magazine for log homes). Tried to help Doug & Shannon at the Eagles find some slates. I think Shannon probably recovered the table after they got slates. fyi, Shannon recovers tables (he did mine several years ago) and Joe Moore at Anderson Masonry in Kalispell also recovers tables (he redid mine last year since I had wore out the cloth and needed rails redone). And seriously, would love to see pictures and maybe be fortunate enough to play a game of snooker with you.

Jack,

Would love to meet up with you at some time, but I must tell you as a pool player on a scale of 1-10, I would be a -5, so you can imagine what a snooker player I am.
