Brunswick tables have be made in China for years by Yalin I believe.Good. They don't belong here then.
Here I thought it was manufactured here in the good ole USA.
$12.5 for a chinese table with Brunswick branding is garbage.

I've heard it's solid hardwood and can be replaced. I believe that was posted on this thread. First page I believe.I could be wrong, but in that picture of the aluminum attached to the base of the rail where he is holding it in his hand, the wood looks to be particle board. If so, that's not great for a commercial place as to recovering I would think. Then again maybe it's not particle board, but it sure looks as though with the picture provided. If so, it would be a bad place to cut corners to save 20-50 bucks. The amount of real wood for that area is not that expensive to a wholesale buyer. There would be a little more machining cost though.

I just looked, and Rexus did post that, probably is that way, sure doesn't look like it in the picture.I've heard it's solid hardwood and can be replaced. I believe that was posted on this thread. First page I believe.
Just following. I like straight pool so messaged Brunswick to see if 5 inch pockets was an option. I read that wasn't a normal offeringI just looked, and Rexus did post that, probably is that way, sure doesn't look like it in the picture.
GC's haven't been made in the US since '76.Good. They don't belong here then.

Good to know. I was playing a lot on GC's at my university's student union. Student union was open in the 60's.GC's haven't been made in the US since '76.

4.75" would be perfect for 14.1Just following. I like straight pool so messaged Brunswick to see if 5 inch pockets was an option. I read that wasn't a normal offering
I wouldn't say perfect, but not bad. I have a Gold Crown I with 4.75 pockets. Plays great. Just like the idea of 1 slate and flush pockets and a ball return, but if I can't get the specs I want, will just stick with what I have. I have run 113 balls, so not bad at the game4.75" would be perfect for 14.1
Well the promo pictures show China red cloth.Sure I’d like for Brunswick tables to be manufactured in the USA but that not the fault of Brunswick. That’s the fault of the global economic policies that our leaders have had no problem pushing and participating that benefit the wealthy. I’m sure Brunswick’s expectations are for the tables to be manufactured to their specifications. I’ll stop now since I’m pushing the envelope of this topic and forum category.![]()
Ball counter? How many years away did you take? It stopped being standard on the GC3. GC4 it was an option that no one ever bought. (I personally only ever saw 2 in the wild at Amazin Billiards in Boston one year ago).In terms of design the GC is timeless.
Where’s the ball counter? LOL
My recollection of these are ball counters, feels low like you can bend over and lay your body on it and huge ass pockets. Now I know they’re all different but memories of my college days.
The good? From the pics the ball return seems higher so no bending down to get balls like Diamond. It’s why I prefer pockets while you have to fetch the balls but you don’t have to bend over.
AFAIK bc's weren't available at all on the 4's.(according to rexus they never had them.) Seen a bunch over the yrs and none had counters. I have seen a 4 with a GC3 foot-rail with counters.Ball counter? How many years away did you take? It stopped being standard on the GC3. GC4 it was an option that no one ever bought. Yea bro. I basically learned how to play pool on GC. There aren't many places with a room filled with the ball counter GC's. You see this is what my memory of them are.Ball counter? You're lucky to have one.I'll keep my GC IV. I already own it and that white or black would clash with my basement decor.
