"Gold Crown" Ball Polisher

Valid points.

It is the way it is by design. The motor is mounted on the interior of opposite wall so exiting the cord there was not an option.
Poolplaya9 is correct.

I’d suggest you send the ball cleaner to me, and I will dispose of that abomination. ;)

Have you sourced the laminate?

They are but watch the video you posted when it’s in slow motion you can tell they don’t rotate the whole time.

I kept my eye on one stripe the whole time and when it gets past 2 o’clock it kind of just stays put ( it moves around a little but not like it should) till it gets back to 12 o’clock.

I watched it quite a few times looking at different balls and it was the same.

I’m not trying to rain on your parade or anything. It’s just weird what it’s doing and I would never have thought anything except it was slow motion and it caught my eye.
I saw the same and agree. It's not just about getting the whole ball clean eventually, uneven polishing will over time mishaps the balls. Not sure if I feel like building one but I know how I'd do it to correct that. Other than that flaw, beautiful construction.

He was nice enough to take my suggestion to put a 2x2 under one side to put pressure against the wall on the downstroke and against the sprocket on the upstroke.

He sent me the video after he did it.

It made an extreme difference in the rotation of the balls where you can’t keep track of the white on the striped balls.

I should try and post that video with the other. It’s pretty eye opening.

What some people fail to understand is that in order to create the spiral spin, friction is needed, which is non-existent on freshly waxed balls when they first start spinning.

Taken today. The balls seem to spinal pretty good to me.

It still looks like the first one. The striped balls don’t rotate like when it’s tilted.

I don’t know how to put both the videos you sent me in this thread. Put them both in here or a new thread, tell people to watch the striped balls and ask which one rotates better.

I guarantee way more will say in the tilted video.

There we go.

Now people can see what we’re talking about.

Which one is getting more rotation on the balls??

I just watched it again, the 10B and 14B tumble yo me eye.

In the “level” video, the white of the striped balls always stay on top…always.

They never rotate to the bottom.

In the “tilted” video, the striped balls rotate and you can’t keep track of the white of the balls.

🤷🏻‍♂️ I know what I see.

I guess people will just comment on it…or not.

Yeah, I focused on the 12 ball from both videos, and it definitely rotates more during the tilted video.

In the level video the white half from one side of the ball seems to stay in view and does not rotate.

I’m referring to the video I posted today.

You are aware that the balls are being shined on all side, and not just from the bottom, right? If he ran the ball polisher after the slippreness of the cleaner has been rubbed off, you be seeing an entirely different spinning of the balls....level, not tilted.

You are aware you’re wrong about what you’re saying?

Look at the videos.

They don’t lie.

You can’t say one works no matter what (the tilted one) no matter how long you run it.

And then say one is flawed and only works when the cleaner wears off in a few minutes (level one). 🤦🏻‍♂️ wtf Glen

If there is a problem with it…then there is a problem with it.

It works better tilted…period

The angle on the machine creates its own pressure against the balls so they rotate with or without cleaner.

The video doesn’t lie.
