Hi. I just finished refinishing the aprons on my 9' GC I. I'm having a difficult time reattaching the aprons. I read through the recent thread about the guy's skirt falling off but that hasn't helped. I've tried swapping the sides around and my aprons already have the alumininum holder things cut down to 4 6inch pieces on the long sides and 3 on the head side.
The guy who set up my table originally wasn't able to get the aprons on very well either...they seemed to be secure but there was a sizable gap between each apron piece in the corners. When I put them on, it seems like the pieces fit OK on the top side of the table, but on the bottom side they split wide apart to the point where it is nearly impossible to insert the metal parts that latch the two sides together. The aprons seem to sit well on the rail when they are on there by themselves. Any suggestions? I'm in Goldsboro, NC if there happens to be any expert mechanics in this area, but I figure I should be able to attach the aprongs myself. Thanks, Gil
