Thinking same thing. Looks like they were dipped in salt water. Never seen GC casting corrosion this bad.

Being as you got your answer, how did it happen?

I had a new bathroom floor put in the old house. I didn't go down to the basement where the table is for 2-3 days after the guy was done in the bathroom. When I finally did head to the table I saw this. I guess stuff from the new bathroom floor seeped through the floor and onto the table. It's an old house but I never thought something like this might happen.
