Gold crown one oversized 8ft value

Im looking at a gold crown one in a oversize 8ft or i guess 8.5 ft size in mint shape. The table was never used commercially and looks like new. Is this size rare? Also they are asking $1100 with a set of centennial balls included, good price or are these hard to move because it isnt a 9ft table?

I am no expert on this but it sounds like a great deal. I have played on this size of gold crown a few times. I really liked the way it played. I don't think the "pro eight" size should be a big factor in its value,the condition would be more important to me. I was actually looking to buy a Diamond in that size and when I finally pulled the trigger on the deal I was told that they discontinued it.:(

It's a deal I've owned two,I traded up same size but got one from a bowling alley.Sold one I got from a pool room that was kinda beat up.Both had original rubber & played great.I gave around $1100 for each.They will never be worth less,,ya can't lose
 
During my search for a 4.5 x 9 GC, I found a GCIII, black, oversize 8 footer. The table was just about brand new, looked like it had never been played on, absolutely beautiful!! I passed on it for $2000.00 because I couldn't settle for a smaller table.

Jimmy, you're probably looking at what they call an oversized eight foot table. The measurement from the point/edge of one side rail to the other is 46", and from one end rail to the other it's 92". If this is what you have there, it is a great table in such good condition. That's a very good deal. And GCI's were excellent pool tables! Some of the best ever made. Like someone else said on here. You'll never lose money on this table.

I think this is a very good deal on table seeing the owner is selling the house and cant take it with him, most likely i can make him a lower offer. But i have been waiting 17+ years to have a house that has enough room for the nine footer so i dont know what to do. If somebody in detroit area wants one i might flip it over to them.

Brunswick made the GCIII in an 8 footer, over size 8 and 9 footer.

Jay is exactly right, inside to inside was 46" x 92".

For comparison, my GCI is 50" x 100"

Brunswick 46 x 92 Table

I have an Oversized 8' Olhausen that is 46 x 92. I like this size because it's not a big step up to a 9' 50 x 100. Its also not a big step down to a 3 1/2 x 7 Bar Box table. Most of the taverns/bars have Barboxes where I live and tournaments are played on the them.

Oversize 8' 46 x 92 overall a very good up/down table to practice on.

This is the size table that Lassiter practiced on. It was in his brother's home. When questioned about practicing on an 8' table to prepare for an event played on 9' tables, Lassiter replied simply "I get my cue ball on that table". Interpretation, he gained cue ball control which he considered the most important thing in tournament play. After all, he never expected to miss any shots. :)

Luther used to scratch his head, ala Efren, when he got a few inches out of line. He fully expected to get perfect position on every shot.

will give this table a home quick.It's indenticle to mine + I spent a hundred repainting the white with automotive paint.

You see these dimensions in a lot of different places. I believe they are a little tight. My room is 14' x 19' and it's roomy for my 8 footer, would probably be okay for the Pro-8, and (IMHO) would be uncomfortable for a 9 footer. But, I guess I'm a perfectionist. I want no interference for ANY shot.

To the OP - That's a great deal on a great table, but don't discount your emotional feelings about it. If you've been dreaming of a nine footer for 17 years, you may feel that you compromised on this table.

There will be other great deals.
