Good ball cleaner machine, but not to expensive?

Um....what about he corners being the same as the smart table now? pocket liner material? Since I got your attention...whats the cost of the single drum diamond ball polisher shipped? If you know...

The corners you're talking about are only used if the top rails have the Dymondwood finish, otherwise the top rails look exactly the same as they have at least for the last 11 years that I've been involved with Diamond. The different rails are an option, not the stock rails if that makes sense. The single platter ball polisher runs $450, shipping depends on where it's being shipped to.

My mistake, I googled the ball polisher and this was what came up.

Are you claiming BTW that the Diamond Ball polisher is $500 or $200 or less?

If it was $200 or less, it would be a good VALUE, at $500.00 I could buy new balls to play with they get "collision marks" all over them.

My balls don't seem to have "collision marks" all over them and the balls do rotate on their own, so for $450.00 less, I'll take it.

$700.00 for a ball polisher.....some people. There's just no justification for that, it's almost laughable. You'd think though that when trying to market such an overpriced item that the marketing would have to be strong...the video doesn't even work on the website.

Overpriced depends on who's looking at it. I guarantee you the Diamond ball polisher will out last any buffer by a whole bunch of years. And as far as cheap goes, there's NO cheap parts in the polisher from the pillow block bearings to the Dayton 1/3hp motor or the 1/2" automotive fanbelts used to drive it, I know...I designed and built it. I've had 200 of these ball polishers on the market since 1995, and have never had a call for one broke down. Hardtimes in Sacramento, CA has one of the first ones I built, and it's still in use daily, and runs fine. And I can tell you this, Diamond is almost always back ordered for the double platter ball polisher, because they ARE in demand, all over the world, so I guess Diamond MUST be doing something right, but then again, they weren't interested in targeting the "Cheap" customers to begin with;) Pretty much the same reason why I'm NOT the cheapest table mechanic in the country, I'm not begging for work, because I already have all I can handle with all those that want the best, and are willing to pay for it;)

Speaking of Diamond and the video on they're website that doesnt work... they need a new website bad. I noticed that they dont even have samples of the dymondwood options that are available. I mean, evertime I look at that site it's worse... They don't even have a pic or info on that fancy legged table they were using as a TV table last year. How you gunna sell a table that you have no info for? So, I requested a catalog on the diamond pro and I received the same one that I was given over 5 years ago when I got my smart table. I mean man, the table they show you isnt even the one they make these days. Diamond...get your shit together! I love the tables , but come on.

I just looked at the Diamond website, and watched the ball polisher video, it played just fine for me, so it does work, you might want to check it out again;)

Then I have made a home made bucket polisher, just need some carpet a wall in bucket.
It looks very good

Thanks for advise

I will load up a picture when it is finish:)

Good for you. The one I made works great, just what a cheap o' guy like me needs. If it's in your home you're most likely not polishing them daily like a pool room needs to. I have had mine for several years and only replaced the balls..I wore the old ones out..lol
If you need a cheap table mechanic give me a call..from pockets to rails I got you covered

That's about 6,000 miles round trip to work on his pool table, you up to that?

I'm glad that you love yourself so much, it's evident in just about every post. The topic on this thread was about a ball polisher that isn't too expensive. Your wonderfully designed commercial ball polisher, isn't the solution that was likely applicable for this topic, and it turns out he made one of the bucket ball polishers. I don't know if you intend to come off condescending in all of your posts, but damn it's thick.

Calling people "cheap" because they understand the economics of a ball polisher is a "cheap" shot and I think you should consider getting over yourself. There's obviously a different market for people who want an inexpensive method of cleaning the balls on their home pool table occasionally and the pool hall that should be cleaning their balls daily for 20 tables. Is that not obvious to you oh mighty one?

It's not equitable to wanting a quality table mechanic versus a cheap craigslist guy and cheaping out on the experience of the person setting up your table. How can you even make that comparison?

I took it to be more of an expression that quality items come at a premium.

I guess "Good ball cleaner machine, but not to expensive" could mean 'not best quality', but I can't find fault in the man promoting his brand.

Glen'd be a great employee to have, though like my Grandma's monkey, he'd prob need to be taken out back and have the ornery beaten out of him occasionally!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that dividers can be placed in the home made polisher.

Do tell us how they cured stupid :)

I did this with my homemade polisher. Each ball is segregated when being polished. Works just fine.

At LEAST a few times a week, more if needed:smash::rotflmao1::rotflmao1:

Sometime right after the first of the year, still have to get down to TX and work on 21 Diamond 7fts, but have to first finish up a few things at the factory before I can take off. I'll have the Diamond 9ft Billiards table with me when I show up too.

Glen

Thank you Sir.....
