I am really sorry I had to infest this section with a thread like this but I thought you guys should be warned about it.

The winner is/was: str8shooter (Chris Quade). He sent me his address and the 20$ for shipping as I requested.
Here is were the story starts to rumble:
In the same time, I had another deal with a nice member here for trading my Mezz. I won't say his name here...for now...
So I packed both cues in different boxes and another family package and went to post office ready to ship'em.
It was crowdy inside and I need to write down the tags very quick. I did, and when I sticked the labels I misplaced 2 of them. Actually I inverted the labels for the Mezz cue I was about to trade and the gift cue. I didn't realized ofc...
3 days later I received a pm from Chris (guy who won the gift) thanking me for the cue he received. He didn't say a word about the cue just that is happy.
After another day the memeber I was trading with pm'ed, asking me to recheck the tracking number as it appears the cue is heading somewhere else.
The nightmare started. I rechecked the tracking number and indeed he was right. The cue was delivered to Chris's address.
I contacted Chris immediately and ask him to send me a pm regarding the cue. He sent me a message after 5-6h (probably more) telling me that the cue was a Mezz. I begged him to send the cue back or to the other guy directly but HE STATED HE ALREADY TRADED THE CUE for some snowboarding equipment. (THAT WAS HAPPENING 5-6h AFTER HE GOT THE CUE FROM USPS!)
I asked him nicely to try to get the cue as it wasn't meant for him. I stated that his cue (gift) was shipped somewhere else and he'll get the cue as I promised.
I offered to pay the shipping fees ofc as IT WAS MY FAULT!
In the meantime I spoke to the other member about our trade and he was kind enough to wait for a resolution...Thank you sir for everything!
3 days later (January 3rd, last Fri) I sent another pm to Chris asking him to do something about this (I gave him to honorable options IMO) until Monday (today). I stated that, if not, this will go public and I'll file a complaint to the local police.

Chris came back to me today, after 6 days, and called me "monkey", accusing me that I am threat him, trying to cover up the whole thing and letting me know that the cue is long gone and he'll do nothing about it!

(I have the pm's but I won;t post'em here unless is neccessary).

I did this (believe me, not my cup of tea) to let everyone know that a good deed is always "rewarded"!.....Thank you mr. Quade!

UNFREAKING REAL. That's realy bad mojo right there. Chris stand up and do the right thing and replace this cue.

I see so many kind hearted people here on AZB, it really saddens me to see this kind of thing happen. Hope the jerk gets his soon, payback is a *****.

You ought try again.....and by all means fix what Chris screwed up. he was trying to do something good for another member of our community....YOU!
Fix it and lets move on.

Chris, I am glad you posted here. I didn't threat you in anyway. I just stated my next actions in case you don't want to cooperate. And you didn't.

For everybody else. Thanks for your words. I don't want to start a rebellion against Chris. I just wanted you to know what happened and be safe for your next deals. Please do not post here anymore as this is a sale section and I don't want anyone to get in trouble.

Traded the cue off for some snowboarding gear that fast, bullsh1t. Guy is willing to burn himself over a few hundred dollars?? Must suck living at the bottom but karma has a way of keeping you where you belong.

Here's a thought for members, don't do deals with little kids on this or any other forum. They lie, apparently because theirs parents never taught them any better and are equal POS.
 
That's horrible. When dealing with an individual who cannot and should not absorb the loss, it's a real d**k move what "str8shooter" did (ironic name).

I work in e-commerce and asked a clients warehouse manager about this once as he was dealing with the same issue. Essentially, in most cases the recipient is required by law to return the items. In practice, they expect these losses and just send replacement orders out since it's not worth damaging their reputation (their effort goes up as the value of the items goes up, but it's always tit for tat).

This is correct in MOST cases when you receive something you did not order. However, if the shipping error can be proven by the seller/merchant, your local laws will vary. In Texas:

I hate to see a long time member go this route and ruin his name and rep but with a response like this, but I think you just did. But as I say you can always fix a wrong and make it right. So do the right thing and get this fixed, the sooner the better for you str8shooter. As for the OP I hope this works out in the end, so keep us informed.

You're right no one like threat. So what's your side of the story.

The man clearly did make a mistake and sent you the wrong cue, ask you to send it back. Seem like a simple problem that can be remedy fairly easily. If he had instead sent you a broken cue, I'm sure you would have issue especially if he responded like you. Sorry, sold the cue, can't help you.

Question is, did you know it was the wrong cue before you decide to trade it away?

This has went to far!I got a gift,not charity.OP sends the wrong cue to me.Remember I have "no idea" what i'm getting nor did I care at that point so my plans were right from DEC 25th if I actually recieve a cue its gone after some conditioning.The cue came,I shot 30 balls,the tip fell off the shaft had a bad wobble and a few other major blemishes in the butt finish.It was used pretty hard and I have been givien many cues in better condition for free or really dirt cheap that I have cleaned up and traded or sold in the past, so I did'nt think anything of it untill it was a day late .Chris can post his side all he wants but I don't like to be threatened and thrown to a mob of judging people that do NOT know what happened!We could have worked this out but now you just pissed me off

Oh, it's worth it! You took a person's kindness, and took advantage of it! He goes out of his way to help you because you need a cue....he does so...albeit not the cue you should've received, and you immediately trade it off for a snowboard?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be ashamed of yourself....you scammed this person, and in my humble opinion, are the worst of the worst here now.
 
You absolutely were dishonest!!! Do you honestly think that the OP would have offered to send you a free cue if he had known your intentions were to just trade or sell off the cue anyways?!!!!!
