Good players from california????

tang plays poker, keith, kim, john schimdt moved, parica, francisco, morro, ernesto got old. chohans on vacation. cali has taken a step back the last 5-7 years.it no longer has the abundance of champions it had in the past. ten years ago it was a road players nightmare.

Most of the top players in/from CA are in retirement or out of their prime. The only real active player in his prime is Oscar. Of course if you bring out big money, there are a lot of guys you have never heard of (or that you haven't heard of in years) that will come out of the wood work.

You will see a lot of good West Coast players next week at California Billiards at the Seminole Pro Tour stop. I think they now have a full field of 64 (possibly a few openings) in the One Pocket and the Ten Ball will probably have the largest field ever for a Seminole Tour event. Plus the room is jam-up all the way!

Hey, I resemble that remark! :grin-square:

Teams

There used to be a short lived annual North South tournament. Let someone do an East West tournament. I will add $500 provided no funny stuff-meaning no Thorsten, Mika etc.

I think each state or metropolitan area should have a team and compete based on a regular schedule similar to the NFL. It could be something like a domestic Mosconi Cup and you know the excitement that event produces. Imagine the rivalries!!!

that would be a great idea. However, the finances probably don't exist for such a league
