Good price/quality cuemaker

The cue i have in mind is in purple heart wood with triple segmented handle, and fancy ring in all the positions, black elephant ear wrap in the 3 sections, ivory joint with a metal protector (like the newest BB) small ivory buttcap. About the rings i have to put something down. If I still have space with the money we can add some small inlay close to the both ends of the handle.

I just sent a messge to SLY and let's see how is the price for a cue like this one... i bought one similar from Zinzola (no ivory) for 800 usd.

I think Gilbert and Josey are not so affordable. I'm looking for something resellable and i think SLY can be a good choice.

Keep suggest guys... and thanks again!

Reasonable Prices...

I would take a serious look at Ernie Martinez cues. He does an amazing job and his cues aren't sky high in price (800-1800).

You may have to have some patience with him, but he does amazing work. I own a few Ernie cues and love them.

PM me if you want his number here in Colorado.

What exactly is your budget? Should someone infer your budget is $800 since you mentioned the purchased Zinzola cue for that amount?

KENNY MURRELL gets my vote. Builds a beautiful and solid playing cue. Keeps in touch during the process with updates and DELIVERS ON TIME!

I don't know if I read this right or not, but it seems to me that you want a really great builder to build a cue to your specs, and do it as cheap as they can.

people in the past would come into my jewelry stores and ask if I had anything cheap, I would answer, yes I sell a roadmap with directions to Walmart.

I'm sure it's not a problem, but they make pins with a milled groove for glue relief. Why not modified the pin, rather than messing with the blank. It seems like extra process to me.

I'm not knocking the quality of work btw. Just think the process is a bit over thought and silly given today's methods and materials.

Hope I'm not derailing the thread. We can post this in the atcm section for the real experts.

As for the OPs question, it all depends on his budget and who had an open spot for orders.
