howabout this TAPER ROLL
i guess they dont roll bats ?????

11 second vid
one of my bud's favorite bats that he broke, cracked recently
i put it back together with west 206

yeah, the centers arent nutz, that's part of the wobble,
but this thing sure is squirrely
the handle is almost oval

we shall see soon if it stays together or not
im curious to see just how strong the epoxy is

Of coarse. First you core it and then you cork it!!!

Dick
hell yeah
or rubber balls

this was a two fold experiment
1, just for fun and to help out a bud
and 2, to see if it would hold up

the epoxy is stronger than the wood
i beat the hell out of it on the concrete
it seems to be solid

i spread the crack as much as a could with razor blades kinda like wedges to lift it and shot epoxy in the smallest areas with a hypo needle
drilled a few 1/8th holes thru the split side to the meaty side to act kind alike a pin
hell, it might explode on first contact or it might last forever
who knows?

Know I know why Joey Votto hits so good :) special bats from BHQ

LOL
another friend of mine, yes i have more than one,
is retiring in a few months
he's going to build bats at the urging of his son who is a hitting and catching instructor
just yesterday i helped him get his newly purchased wood lathe from garage to shop
about 200 feet thru gates, around swimming pool, around bushes, over hills, up valleys
oh it was a real treat in 98 degree heat
he'll make the bats
i'll make "hats for bats" ala cerano in the movie major league

You have diversified. If the cue making business were to show signs of slowing down any, you have added another idea of woodturning to pick up the slack. Very resourceful.
