what are some good books for learning trick shots. good setup shots and stuff.

seems like the only thing the average joe cares about is seeing a good trick shot so i figure why not learn a few.

It's always good to have a few good trick shots available to entertain your friends, family and co-workers. Showing that you can run a rack of 9-ball doesn't seem to impress the non-players very much.

I like Byrnes book also.

Joe Hood "Trick and Fancy shots Exposed." This is my favorite book.

I could be wrong about the title. here is a number to a place that used to sell it...1-800-645-2162 I wish I could remember exactly who sold it. If you can get ahold of Don, tell him Jamison said it's a llittle green trick shot book.

Jamison

If you can learn those shots you will impress Mike Massey next time you see him.

Try the Mike Massey book he collaborated on with Phil Cappelle. Can't go wrong there. PM me if you'd like to know where to get it cheap!

Mike Massey's book has a bit more detail than Byrne's. Both will take some experimenting and practice though. You can also find a bunch of shots on my site with diagrams and pictures to help you set them up.

Chef Anton's book has more proposition shots if you're in to that. They're kind of like brainteasers I guess.

Third recommendation for Massey's book. It's comprehensive and fun.

If you want to impress your friends, you can also get a chicken: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1337525/chicken_billiard/

Willie Jopling, who writes the trick shot column for Billiards Digest, has a great trick shot book (with diagrams, and instructions), and a dvd. There are over 200 shots on the trick shot video. He also has some excellent one-pocket dvds too!
