Was out and about during xmas, stopped in to visit with a friend/owner of a bar/bowing alley. We shot a few games on the bar box, I picked out a 16oz stick, it was dead straight and felt good just holding it. After hitting a few balls I realized this cue hit "way" good. Upon close inspection of this near new Valley/rosewood butt bar stick, I noticed, ALL of the maple wood forearm had lengthwise grain lines, no knots NONE, just these end too end parallel wood lines, it looked like a railroad yard. It hit very solid....felt like a much heavier cue, I swapped my break stick for it without hesitation, the wood grain is like a 40 inch perfect maple shaft.
