Agreed gossip is bad in every way. But your last line "who are top gossipers...?" may be a bad thing to ask. Since it is objective and some posters may be pointed out in error. Perhaps, why is gossip bad?

go..sip some coffee with those old guys on table one in the corner..who are the hang arounds in your local pool hall..life would be boring for some with out the gossip..

Being in the know of the latest scoop seems to give some a little joy I guess.

It's hip to be cool...lol.

The purpose of "who are top gossipers?" is not so much as to "out them" as it is quite apparent who enjoys sticking people with needles under the guise of "reporting from the field".

The purpose of asking who are the top gossipers is to possibly give pause to potential gossipers who see other gossipers getting away with ad hominem attacks on people who rarely post in the forums.

Gossip in its most vile form should be shared discreetly or even semi-privately if at all.

Yes, I am a B player who can't beat the B players in pool events. It is what it is, unfortunately.

Maybe I could start gambling at one pocket with some of the B players and try to get some of my confidence back or maybe I will just lose some dough doing that, too. :shrug:

I heard that the death of Elvis Presley was a hoax.
Its quite possible as Pres Nixon gave Elvis a Secret Service badge and Elvis may have gotten himself over his head some how and had to lay low.

Michael Jackson may be living with him. If you watch the UTube videos, Michael Jackson attended his own funeral in disguise.

I agree with your purpose and reason of your thread. Unfortunately, some on this forum do not have your level of maturity, wisdom and fairness and will flame away. Perhaps it should be required to have people reveal their identity when posting, or have it revealed by the mods. so that there can be accountability. That would be fair.

I heard that the government froze them and Bruce Lee and is gonna thaw them out when the economy gets better.

So one question: If it's true is it still considered gossip?

when i first joined this forum my gf looked over my shoulder a few times reading some posts and commented this forum was a mens gossip forum. at the time i really did not agree with her..

here lately i think this forum has turned into a peyton place with a bunch of harper valley hipocrites.

Unfortunately, there are some who don't care about the anonymity factor and gossip away, scurrying under the radar of the moderators and balancing their tripe on the back of forum rules, as if they were Nik Wallenda himself.

Others, like my target audience might not be so inclined to post the malicious gossip if their identities were known.
