Got my new Varney J/B

Mr. Varney, at what point is the butt broken off at? I was looking for something a little lower than the typical seperation point on the butt.

I think you are talking about the length of the j/b handle. I make mine much longer, the longer handle gives a lot more leverage and makes jumping easier. Most j/b's have a handle length of around 12"...mine is more like 18". ;)

I'd also like to mention that Varney's J/B combined with the power-breaking technique of Colin Colenso is absolutely stunning. I was VERY VERY scared to try this with my brand new beautiful cue (see avatar :D ) but it controls the cueball so well I can sacrifice some more accuracy to get a harder break and don't have to worry about miscueing! It really is an incredible break cue.

Mr. Varney, I wish I could go for it right now! Sadly in the last week we've had a $300 bill for our Jeep getting towed (my stepson parked in a handicapped spot!) followed by a $280 bill to replace the oil pan gasket on the same car. Well, they say things come in 3's & sure enough this afternoon I spot a nail in one of the tyres. Yep, same car!!!! I'm guessing Christamas must be close :D

I think the New Year has to start better. I would be interested on any info you could give me though, including price? Please feel free to PM me.
