Crashed and burned. Augered in, screwed the pooch. How many ways can I say it? Oh yes. I preserved my 5 rating. I think I may ask them to move me down to a 4.

All kidding aside there was not one player that beat me that should have. No problem with the diamonds When I practiced on them I was drilling shots. When it came to match time, I went to the restroom or something and my evil twin brother played for me and he can't shoot a shot. I truly didn't think I could choke like that anymore.

I was choking chalking my stick!

But Fort McDowell was the place to be if you like pool and I'm sorry if you missed it. I would do it again even if I knew the outcome would be the same. It was a rush.

I will play in every large tournament I can enter in the future. I love tournaments. I love pool. But as a mistress she can be a biatch sometimes.

Got to get me to a pool room today. You know, gotta get back on the hoss that throwed me. Yee-Haw!

One thing I've learned at my level of skill: There will be days when I couldn't hit my a$$ with a hand grenade. Most of the time I shoot pretty well, then..........there's always that one missed shot (that was certainly makeable) in the middle or toward the end of the run that I screw up. For me, it's that I can see the end result coming on and I tend to rush my shots the closer to the end of the rack I get.

You'll have better days! Hang in there and enjoy (as it sounds as if you are already doing)!!!

OMG we all know that feeling, it's ok sh*t happens. If we all played at our absolute best all the time and the way we always wanted too, we'd all be competing agaist JA, RM & SVB.

I have never personally missed a shot because I played it badly, there was always a reason. My opponent uses too much chalk and some got on the cue ball to throw it off, or JA missed picking that bit of lint up and that caused the miss

 You're hooked just like the rest of us  Hope you got to the poolroom today without the twin:wink:

Loved that one.Doggin' it on the chalk is pretty bad.

I saw a top player go out in 2 at a tournament,he missed everthing.
He started to list the occupations he should have taken up instead of
pool.By the time he got to 'painting targets on cow's asses for
near-sighted bulls' everyone was howling.

With me it's I'm constipated , my transmission went out on way to Tourney, my dog ran off, I forgot my Prozac, or, last but not least, my wife came back!

Come on. Tell the truth. It was that Mike Howerton guy entered in the Men's Open Singles that got to you. Mr. AZ Billiards has that effect on his fellow players;)!

You don't get it, Lyn. I'm really bad at this game. (But I'll play anybody cheap 9-ball if I can have the 7+8+9 wild)

Ya wanna know how dumb I am? I'm 67 years old and think I play better
than when I was 21. I keep saying to myself ,"There weren't this many good pool players around when I was roaming the streets." Maybe there was.
Maybe I was just at a higher level myself.

That's O.K. I love it and I know I'm going to die with a pile of baby powder in my left front pocket and a chalk blue left hand.. Let the mortician figure that one out! :killingme:

I'll be 67 in November, and I shoot as good as I ever did...meaning, things start out badly, but once I get warmed up, they go dowhill really fast.

Welcome to the geriatric ward...

It must be the air in Lizard Acres! I'm 65 and honestly playing the best pool of my life. Regardless of your perceived lack of success, I can only ask a few questions. Did you have fun playing? Seeing your AZ friends? Meeting new friends?

Here in the backwoods of Upstate New York, the number of events to play in, whether bar box or full size, are few and far between. Wish we had the AZ pool scene!

Easy, Lyn. Move to Lizard Acres. You're to damned old to be effing shoveling snow. The more the merrier here. You cannot comprehend
how nice it is here. If you ever get out this way P.M. me.

There's the bottom line. Enjoy the geriatric ward, for it is far superior to taking the dirt nap!
