I haven't read through all the recent Grady threads and don't know what sparked this one, but I do seem to recall Grady and Allison's playing an exhibition match in Durham around that time. Perhaps this has something to do with that...?

I heard the same thing thanks. I heard Grady was playing in a female only tournament playing in drag thanks. Charlie Williams was the tournament director and he figured out it was Grady when he tried to cop a feel, and that's what started the bad blood between Charlie and Grady thanks.

I saw one of the matches-Grady won in a squeaker. He hung around the pool room for another day or so, giving free lessons to Allison and Gerda and anyone who wanted to eavesdrop. I believe he helped them both a lot, especially regarding banks. Grady likes to overcut banks adding inside english to straighten out the return and making the pocket bigger. Grady remarked that most 9 Ball players like outside english and i believe he is correct on that. Anyway Allison and Gerda were very greatful for the lessons.
