Tend to agree...

We are all products of our environment. It's wrong to judge people by how they speak or spell. It is what it is. Enough drama on this site without slamming people for their spelling. Good grief, phonics is not even spelled phonetically!! Should be fonix! Hav uh nis da!

While I would never demand that someone use proper grammar, nor would I judge someone (other than their education) because of their grammar skills, as a writer of books, etc., I do value the correct use of language.

After all, isn't communication sort of an inherent problem of the human species? Butchering any language doesn't help much when it comes to communication. In my lifetime I've seen language "misunderandings" lead to arguments, fights, arrests and war....so I do appreciate it when people make an attempt to speak or write with proper grammar.

Aisle half two conch her that pore spelling and grammar half nope lace on hour forum. Wheel half too duel lot better.

Plus one from me, especially about appreciating folks attempting to get it right. If people fail to even try, what else are they putting lackluster effort into? Poor communication speaks to credibility, sometimes consciously and sometimes subconsciously. If the expert can't communicate, then I start to question if the expertise is legit. It's natural to do so.

By the way, my day job is to transform techinical writing into something the avreage Joe can understand. Even with an education that includes military training (where clarity is emphasized), I run into some challenging work. I can assure you the effort is never lacking.
