Great 8-ball video

That's what Jimmy gets for playing the last 2 balls in the wrong order. Looked like he had the stripe in the side for a stop shot and then the stripe in the corner for a stop shot for a simple shot on the 8. He decided to take the stripe in the corner with draw,and then the stripe in the side with draw instead. Too much unnecessary movement IMO.

That's how I would've played them anyway. Of course, I wouldn't have gotten to the finals, so take it for what it's worth.

I would have played it the same way you described. That being said, I'd also bet anything I would get out the way he went every time! It must have just been nerves. If you watched the post-match interview he said he was just trying to draw the ball about two inches. Crazy result...
 
I think he was about 1/3 diamond above the center pocket and the object ball was on the low edge of the pocket,
he could have shot them in reversed order but it would certainly not have been a stop shot on the first objectball.

He would have either had to roll it in dead weight cheating the pocket or go 2-3 rails around the other ball.

It looks like from the way I see it, if he shoots a stop shot on the ball in the side first. It appears that the shot in the corner is a r cut with a angle that theres a chance of scratching in the side that he eventually did. The shot he shot just got hit a tad to hard.
I don't think I would have played the all balls the way he did.
If left with the 2 balls and the 8 in those positions.
I like shooting the ball into the corner but without the draw. More or less an easy stun. Then playing the shot in the side with the angle with about a tip or so of top outside and come off the short rail on the far end and end up probably within a diamond or so of the 8.
But everybody sees the table different. And I would never be that positon to win such a big event so it's just my opinion.
