Great collection of pool photo's here.

there is one pic of buddy hall wearing a "play pool fool" tee shirt from the jointed cue pool hall in sacramento-my favorite room of all time, i had one of those tee shirts but i cant find it and i'm sick about it, mine was green buddys is tan, which was an older one, i got mine in 88 and i have looked everwhere for it.

bills site is great, earl with his hair pins in to keep it out of his eyes was funny to me, look carefully at the pics there are some greats in the background on alot of those pics.

thanks bill

How about some more photos from others?

Great shots from the 80's with ALL the stars. Thanks Bill. I'd forgotten about your site.
Thanks for the compliment.:)

One thought we had when we set up the Smugmug website was that other people might eventually contribute tournament photos to our site. Well, the only person who has done so is Ed Fields who sent along his photos from the 2006 DCC so that we could create a gallery for him ( http://billporter.smugmug.com/gallery/1454355#70674789 ). I know that there are other photos out there - I think an AZ guy with the screen name Deadon said he had several hundred old pool pics - and it would be really neat if we could use photos from others to create several additional tournament galleries.

thats a great plan, its wonderful history and needs to be protected and not lost. Thanks to all the historians with the stories, pictures etc.

I just bought all Bill's photos on DVD, and when I get back from Iraq, I am going to pick out 15-20, frame them, and put them up on the walls of my billiard room.

Right after I beat my wife's @55 for making the walls dark red.... :D :D :D
