GREATEST POOL MATCH of All Time – Reyes vs. Strickland – with the Famous Z-Shot

I've made this shot twice now in games, one just a few weeks ago. I was playing a friend and had to do a two rail kick with the object ball pretty much frozen to the rail. Right before I shot it I told him "I'm going to Efren your ass" and made the ball LOL.

It may be one of the most famous shots of his, but I don't think it was his most elegant or "best", especially since he was just playing for the hit not aiming to make it. So many other tough shots he was actually shooting.
 
Good video as always. Speaking of Efren I didn't realize how bad his shoulder is until I saw him play one pocket with Bustamante on the Sharks facebook page.

I've made a 2-rail Z kick in actual play once also, but it sat more natural with a smaller angle and it didn't require sidespin on the 1st rail like Efren's shot.

This is a good one for sure, although neither player played particularly well, with a lot of pocketing and defense/kicking errors by their standards. Nothing beats a match where the fortunes of the players change on a dime multiple times in a match. When it happens in a double hill rack, it's even better, and when it happens in an event final, better still. The last rack is one of the all-time nail biters and Efren's Z-kick is a shot for the ages.

IIRC this match also determined the Billiards Digest 1995 Player of the Year.

Me too couple times. One time i got it on video. Then i pulled Bustamante shot after that :D
