Greenville 8 ball first round upsets

Hey this is tired Leonard just walked in house from greenville sc well Stevie Moore lost 6 to 3 to Billy Tyler, Tony Watson lost hill-hill to unKnown last name Woods . Ron Parks won so did Johnny Archer and US Open champion Gabe Owen,Helena Thornfeld, Shannon the Cannon, Monica Webb lost to Gabe, Scott Rayburn beat Jeff Abernethy 6 to 3 in Jeffs second match, Eddie Little lost first match to Ray Bennish-Nikki's Dad and David Lear won first 6 to 0 before losing to T F Whittington. Thats about all I can remember and can't go back tommorow. somebody give more updates I'm going to myrtle beech
 
I'm glad you don't get paid for reporting. Enjoy the beach...best you can considering you're $300 light now...LOL!!!

Is English his first language? I had to read that twice to decipher what he was attempting to say. I appreciate the effort though since he was the only one taking the time to post an update.

were these first round losses, are any of these players out? Stevie and Monica esp?

Yes..he's American. Just a good ole' boy who's a mechanic down at my local gas station. He speaks better...he just probably is in a hurry and may not realize how readers would appreciate proper grammar.

Anymore info from him won't be coming soon. He's taken his family to Myrtle Beach until late in the week. Hopefully we can get an update from another AZ'er. If not we could at least maybe call Shannon tonight and get the top finishers.

I just left Shannon's tournament, and here's the latest.

First, I have to say that this is the greatest 8-ball I have ever seen.

Johnny Archer gets beat by Shannon on the winner's side. Then draws Stevie Moore on the one loss side. Archer wins the flip, breaks the balls, and doesn't shoot again. Stevie runs the set out.

Next round, Gabe Owen is playing Tony Watson. Same thing. Tony breaks the balls, doesn't make anything. Gabe runs the set out. Mike Gulyassy puts Gabe on the short bus, then Ron Park puts Mike out of the tournament.

Last 4 on winner' side:
Helena playing Jon Hennessee...Hennessee wins 6-2
Shannon playing Billy Bailey... Billy up 4-3 when I left

On the short bus:
Stevie Moore beats Ron Park 4-2
Gabe beats Tony Watson 4-0 (after possibly running out the set against Billy Tyler the set before). I watched most of the set and never saw Billy get up from the chair.

This was an awesome tournament. Ted Kaufman was still there. Hopefully he will post the final results later.

Thanks Mike, hope AZ does a full report on this one! Sounds like a lot of players using this for an IPT warm. Oh and you go Helena (and of course Stevie!)!!
