The offer by Jay/Greg to stake the BB players reminded me of a personal story involving Greg Sullivan.

About 4 years ago I bought an early generation Diamond table from a poolhall. I had the rails redone by Diamond to the new specs. After installation I had some questions about shelf depth of the old Diamond tables compared to new ones.

I called Diamond and they took my number and said Greg would call me back. He calls me within a few hours to talk about my questions. He was explaining to me the ins and outs of pocket cuts, shelf depth etc. Then he says "how about I just come to your house and I can look at the slate and adjust if needed".

In summary,
I bought a used table, had some questions, get to talk to one of the company owners and then he offers to drive 2.5 hours to my house to take a look at a minor detail. Keep in mind I really only put a few hundred dollars in Diamonds pocket for re-doing the rails.

Hows that for passion and customer service?

Great post. I hope Greg gets a chance to read it. I know he's en route to Tunica now to help Ultimate get under way.

He's a gentleman and a scholar. He's also kind of cute! :wub:

Here's two of men who give it their all, expecting nothing in return, when it comes to accommodating professional pool players. They make things happen for players of all caliber, but knowing how difficult it is for the pros, they always try to help them. It's a shame Greg is being mistreated by those Bonus Ball brats.

That's a powerful picture u got there.
With out those two, pool just wouldn't be what it is today'

Ain't that the truth. Pool players have selective memories, but some of us remember those who helped along the way. Thank goodness for Greg and Mark in this regard. :cool:
 
Greg & Mark - super good guys

What these two have done for pool is beyond doubt.Then Bonus ball holds events at the same time (Tunica) and asks for our support. Not very good thinking own their end. I will support Greg Sullivan and Mark Griffin till the bitter end and hope you guys do too. See you at Tunica and the Derby, lol !
