I had gray 860 put on my table just over 2 months ago. I love the look and it is easy on the eyes. Zero regrets.
With that said, I do feel that I see more gray chalk dust on the gray cloth than I did using blue chalk on the blue cloth.
I mostly use gray master chalk and sometimes the taom V10.

Have been been using V10 on the grey for over year and the cloth stays very clean
I was using the V10 on the blue cloth. The balls and the table were definitely cleaner. For some odd reason though I got some joy out of buying the 12 pieces of the gray master chalk. I am just noticing the dust so much more.
I need to pony up another $20 for second piece of Taom. I like 2 pieces on the rail of my home table.
I did not like spending $20 for V10 but it lasts a long time…. Unless it gets legs.
We're in the process of replacing the tournament blue in my local room with all 860 gray.
I've only played on it for about a week now, but so far it looks good and plays just fine. Like all new cloth it's slicker than whale snot right now, but should break in just fine in a week or two...

That grey cloth looks golden or camel on two of the 9’ers with the different table lighting.
I love the gray cloth, but I prefer the Championship 30/30 cloth. I have had the gray on my table for almost a year, using V10. It basically wears like iron, very few marks, even compared the the 30/30 blue cloth. Not sure what the difference would be, but even breaking 10 ball without a break cloth causes no marks at all. I have used 860 and 860 HR and neither can compare to the 30/30 gray.

A friend of mine went from the 860hr tourney blue to the 860 gray, says he loves the look but isn't loving how much slower the gray is.
I don't gert it why the gray which btw isnt avail in "hr" would play sloweer than a blue hrt cloth. I thought the hr designation was to do with being highly resistant to burn marks, that sort of thing.
Are you guys experiencing a slower feel to the gray non hr cloth?

I believe the HR has a higher nylon content (70/30 wool/nylon, 860 is 90/10) which makes it a faster cloth. The 30/30 is slightly faster than the HR in my experience, but wears much better.

I assume if the demand and requests for gray 860 HR continues, Simonis will soon offer it.

Alex Pagalayan sells cubes on his site. It's V10 as far as is humanly possible to tell, it's supposedly a slightly different formula but I say it's the same. It's in a cube, so it might be safer if left on the rails since it won't roll into the pockets somehow.
