GTF Cases any good?

That is only a specific model of the GTF case, and a fairly rare one. The more common GTF has plastic caps on the top and bottom.
That said as far as the question goes GTF are the premier case of that style. I looked at Ron Thomas for a couple years thinking about buying one but having some reservations. I bought a GTF in Vegas last year, the first year I saw one. It is almost the perfect Fellini style case and was a noticable improvement over some quirks I had with Thomas cases. As said above the interior is made by John Barton so you know the thing is going to protect. The cues go into the case in a specific fashion which basically makes all the cues seat each other and nothing can come out, yet things are not hugely tight because the shafts alternate tip up and tip down so that the tapers basically fit together. The lid is a pressure sealed one that works perfect.
The pockets on the case are also awesome, I went from a 3/6 larger case and I found quickly I have at least as much storage space if not more.
Another selling point for me is that the case is fairly conservative on size. It is alot smaller then other 2X4 cases out there and thus allows me to pack the case inside of a large suitcase for travel on a plane.
There are small personal tweaks I would do to the case if I customized one, but as far as a standard case goes the GTF is everything I could have wanted in a cue case.

You are gonna love it. You simply cannot go wrong with a GTF. I am gonna blow a chunk of cash on a custom made hand carved GTF one of these days as the last case I will ever own.
