Guess Who made this?

I just got this cue and let's just say it plays as like a dream. Who know who made this cue?

Can't argue with the Omega inspiration. The butt cap and chromed pin make me think otherwise. My guess would be Esoteric. Perhaps one of the remaining blanks from when Omega shut down.

I think your right the pin looks like 3/8-14 isn't that what Rick uses?

Omega / DPK

I think I used to own that cue, hell I even think I took the pictures.

I think it was the best looking one I have ever seen.:)

Ken

Rick did not make the cue, but did refinish recently. Any yes it is a 5 pointer.

Omega?
Joint screw has no phenolic insert and hole is not countersunk like Esoterics.
Looks like the ferrules have developed a gap at the bottom.
Might not hurt to get it looked at.
Is the butt less than 29" long?

Possible it could be a Bender as mentioned above, it doesn't have the engraving on the pin that is normally associated with Bender. I agree that it looks more like an Omega/DPK that's been refinished or rebuilts from remaining parts sans the trademark flared lip on the buttcap.

Could be a bender?

if it's straight it's prolly not a bender

like early TW cues they warped due to changes in atmospheric conditions between Alaska and the southern 48 (so i was told)

Ed Young?? Peterson?

What are your basing this on? Years of experience? First hand knowledge? Out of the maybe 30 used Benders I've seen on a lathe, only two were out more than a few thousandths. And Ive seen a few Wayne cues on a lathe, and they spun good also.

YES and YES...i've owned more than 30 bender and tw cues and stand by my statement based on my observations and discussion with early cue dealers of which one is deceased. Some which are still standing may chime in, if not, we'll have a difference of opinion and i'll lay 3 to 1 that the sun comes up tomorrow

Well I stand corrected. You obviously know more about them then I do. I've only owned one of their cues and certainly never talked to any dealers about the cues.

That's an Omega/DPK that has been refinished.
If you'll notice some, but not all, of the flared butt
cap is still there. Yes, that cue is a sweet player
and those ivory ferrules will sing to you. I use to
own the cue, too.CONGRATS!
