Guinness 9ball Finals - Sopcast/tvu Schedule

Alex really very serious. His got this break and run figured out on the TV table. 4 of them now at 5-2 for Alex. That means all of his 4 breaks are B&Rs.

On the other-hand, Ryu is trying to copy it and had 4 dry breaks. :(

Make that 5 out of 5 B&Rs Blow, I wonder what would be the score now if this was a winner's break?

If Alex wins this, it will be Dennis and Alex to go through to the Semis tomorrow at 3 wins a piece. All the rest of the games in Group A has no bearing whatsoever.

Hahaha... your guess is as good as mine. Alex is now experimenting and also showboating. He is giving Ryu some clinic.

It's over, 9 games to 2 for Alex. Alex even had the luxury of breaking from the box just in case his soft break
doesn't work in his next game/games. Ryu made 1 unforced error and lost badly, and on an alternate break at that.

Antonio "Gaga" Gabica just scored his 3rd win in 3 matches against Wu Chia Ching's
expense! Gaga won, 9-7 and needs 1 more win to be safely through to the semifinals!

Both Gabica and Yang are showing nervousness with a lot of potting, positional and safety errors
scattered all over the place, courtesy of both players. A safe passage to the semi-finals awaits the
winner.

Gaga Gabica can afford to lose his match via a 9-8 scoreline, no way Wu Chia Ching can catch up
to his superior racks won quotient. If Yang loses, Wu Chia Ching is through to the next round, it's
a must win for Yang.

Yang is on the hill, while Gaga is 2 games back but breaking next...

They dropped the f****ng feed #$%^&*!!! That last post that I made was the last thing I saw!

The semifinal cast is made! It will be Alex vs. Wu and Dennis vs. Yang!

Alex and Wu will be up first on the TV table at 12 pm Jakarta time, and Dennis vs. Yang will
follow next. I think it will be 10 pm Pacific or 1 am Eastern, and I hope I got it right this time!

How about this "other" 4? Pretty sporty too huh? We have a great weekend of pool ahead of us, and they say pool is dead!

Nice try gopi. However, based on the ESPN Star Sports schedule, they will air it LIVE this time (not 1 hour delayed like the 2nd day) and the schedule will be like this:

Leg 6 JAKARTA GRAND FINAL

http://www.g9bt.com/tvschedule.php

Fri Oct 24 17:00 - 21:30 Preliminaries (3 matches)
Sat Oct 25 12:00 - 18:00 Quarterfinals (4 matches)
Sun Oct 26 12:00 - 16:30 Semis & Final (3 matches)

That means, if we base it on US EST, the broadcast schedule will be:

http://www.g9bt.com/tvschedule.php

ALEX PAGULAYAN vs CC WU 12 midnight

DENNIS ORCULLO vs CS YANG 1:30 am

WINNER 1 vs WINNER 2 3:00 am (Finals)

Wu Vs. Joven B. Live Now

They're playing right now on SOPCAST STAR SPORTS

P.S. maybe just a replay.

 Also, do you know that you can RECORD the matches on SOPCAST by clicking on the RED RECORD BUTTON on the upper part of the screen?

I was so sleepy early this morning after I watched only a couple of WU vs J BUSTAMANTE games so I just hit RECORD and saved it to my desktop and just left the computer on while I slept. This morning I clicked on the saved file and was able to view via Windows Media player not only the rest of the WU vs J BUSTAMANTE match but also the ALEX vs RYU which I totally missed because I woke up at the start of the Orcullo vs Chang match already.

So for all of you who cannot stay awake to watch all 3 matches starting at 12 midnight US EST tonight, you can start SOPCAST and hit the RECORD button. Even if you watch the matches LIVE, it would still be nice to record all the matches. That will be more than 4 and 1/2 hours of FREE POOL between 4 of the top players of the world.

Yep. Just a replay. This match was streamed 12 midnight US EST last night. Be sure to tune in starting 12 midnight for the final 3 matches. ALEX VS WU and DENNIS VS YANG. It could not get any better.

See my post above on how you can save it to your computer if you cannot stay awake and watch the matches live.

Thanks for the heads up. You're awesome.

There's quite bit of pool this weekend. TAR, U.S. Open & Guiness. Have fun, everyone.

BTW, how did CC WU get the last semifinal slot over GABICA?

They both won 3 games each (3 points) and as far as I know had the same number of won and lost games.

Before the start of their last matches, if I remember correctly, their scores were:

GABICA
3 points 9 difference

WU
2 points 0 difference

Then Gabica lost to Yang 6 to 9 and Wu won over Ricky Yang 9 to 3. So their scores should now be:

GABICA
3 points 6 difference (minus 3 games lost to CS Yang)

WU
3 points 6 difference (plus 1 point for win against Ricky Yang and plus
6 games gained for winning 6 games over R Yang)

That means they should be TIED and if we base it on their actual match-up, Gabica won over CC WU by a score of 9 to 7. So how did WU get the advantage over Gabica?

Wu cc got in through a lucky draw

when a pagulayan won the singapore leg, he got in through the lucky draw against ibrahim b amir.

the lucky draw is just two pieces of paper, asking an official to pick one. The name of the player to go through will be on the paper

 That rule should be changed. IMHO, if there is a tie, then the actual match-up between the contestants who tied should be the next consideration. Since Gabica prevailed over Wu 9 to 7, he should have been the 4th man in in the semifinals. There should have been 3 Filipinos and 1 Taiwanese.
