I got my new Gulyassy J/B today, made for Mike by Samsara. First impression: beautiful. It's the wrapless golden stained maple with bocote collars at all the right places. Fit and finish is superb. 18.6 oz. Spent the day using it and am really pleased. At first, I was slamming the break and doing about as well as with the Sledgehammer 1. When I backed off just a little, I started making more balls and parking the cueball in the middle of the table. This cue has a lot more control than the type 1 and gets as good or better spread with less velocity. Made several 9's today. Everyone I showed it to was very impressed. Jumping is not my forte but was able to do pretty well today. Having tried several break cues, I was a little aprehensive about a new one, but, as I said, I'm really pleased. Beside the way the cue looks, I really love the new taper on the shaft and the 5/16x14 piloted joint. This is a winner, Mike! I really want to thank Troy (Koinnkid) for working with me on this deal.
