Gus Butterfly

Whose is this cue??????? Never seen anything like it. Do you know how many veneers it has? Lots of questions....very unusual for sure.

Awesome looking cue, and in a great condition, too.
3 veneers and purpleheart i would say

....and your avatar is still :eek:

IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME RIGHT, I'VE SEEN THIS CUE IN PERSON BEFORE AT ONE OF THE SHOWS...... I DON'T REMEMBER IT BEING LISTED AS A GUS THOUGH.

I'M NOT SAYING IT IS OR ISN'T A GUS, BUT I REMEMBER THIS CUE FROM SOMEWHERE.

HAS IT BEEN LOOKED AT BY BARRY?

A fellow named Jessie owns this cue. I'm sure you probably know him, he owns a pool hall in Lincoln Park called the, " Ball * Cue * Brew ", Kenny knows him.

I'm sure if he has it in his collection of Gus's - I'm sure it was confirmed as a Gus. Jessie's a pretty shrewd collector, I don't think anyone would ever be able to slide something past him, he's pretty slick.

He say's it's a Gus - I would take him at his word ;)

Erick - 4 veneers, I counted them.

I WAS JUST BEING CURIOUS, THERE WAS NO HARM MEANT. I JUST REMEMBERED SEEING THAT SOMEWHERE.

VERY NICE, AND VERY RARE. THE PURPLEHEART, THE BRASS JOINT, AS WELL AS THE BUTTERFLY ARE RARE. THAT'S A GREAT PIECE.

We sold that cue at one time.. They look like Jessie Nikon's stickers... he is one of those dealers that has a "room table" down at VF...

Marcus - There was never any harm meant or implied by your comment, I love anything you say and always have.

You bring some of the most interesting and beautiful cues to this forum, and I appreciate anything you ever have to say.

I'm always learning and your a Great Teacher.

Ya know, Jessie brought his collection of Szamboti cues down to his pool hall just so I could see them, on two different nights. He called me at work to ask if I would be at his place these evenings.

Just being in the presence of these wonderful cues gave me a good feeling, he even let me hold some of them to feel what they felt like. The feeling was unbelievable just doing that.

So, I can't even imagine what it's like for you guy's who actually deal in these kind of things, to be able to hit a few balls with them or just look at them for hours.

You all are truly lucky guy's.

Thanks for all the pleasure all of you have given me !!!

Thank you Marcus my friend - Tom
