I had a little fun yesterday with my newest old cue I picked up. I already had a Gus, and liked the one I picked up the other day.

I thought some might like looking at the pair I have now.

Best of rolls,

Ken

Great pair.. do you know what you would have if they made a baby??? (Besides splinters, that is)

Your forearm of one and the butt of the other. All Gus Szam..

I like the Szamboti stitch rings better than the plain black collars.

Yes, I know what I might have if I had yours too....(probably a divorce):grin-square:

Wow those are nice. I think I saw those two cues in person at michaels in Fairfield Ohio. But I could be wrong lol

Sweet set!

When you told me about the Hoppe I rember saying those veneer colors are about my favorite. If you take the shaft from the 58 inch Cue and put to the 57 inch Cue it might be magic.
Make sure they are interchangable first! It would be a riot to play some 14 and 1 with the 57 inch Cue.
Thanks for sharing,
Nick :)

Szams

I had a buddy Benny from MIddletown Okio that was a one pocket player that I have not seen since the 90s he played with a Gus that was like 54" long, also I know a Guy Jimmy Borshelt from Cincinnati that played with one about 55" long and both of these guys were at least 5' 11". Billy Carelli had a Szam regular length but tips were like 14.5 m,m biggest tips I ever saw but all 3 cues were classic Gus 4 point veneered cues. I do think hands down Gus made the finest hitting cues, Also they were the classiest looking cues ever!! Sold mine back a few years ago when the wife went through cancer for the second time!! Ken, Great looking classic Szams, And I also prefer the classic veneer stitch rings as well!! Great find!! Thanks for sharing the pics!!
