Had a little fun with dealers at DCC

Last year I got a Szamboti, and I picked up a Felleni case. I thought it would be fun to go to some of the cue dealers and tell them this tale.

" I picked up this cue and case at an estate sale for $800, from the ring work I think it is a Richard Black, but it isnt signed. Would you look it over and give me your opinion if it is a real Richard Black cue or not? "

So I did it to a few dealers. The look on Scott Murphy's face with the Cue Addicts was priceless.

Joe Salavar, has it in hand for less than 10 seconds, and says "Thats not a Richard Black, thats a Szamboti!"

I would have loved to pull this on the Sureman, but I didnt see him.

Thanks to the dealers for being good sports.:p

Scott and the guys at Cue Addicts are great to deal with and I have bought probably 10 cues from them over the years.

Later, I was looking at another Szam cue that Scott had, (awesome cue). He told me got it at an estate sale.....and smiled.

Does it have red and black veneers? I looked at the cue before it was refineshed. A buddy of mine owned the cue before. He thought it was a Richard Black

No it doesnt have red and black veneers...
