So the $15 shipping is excessive? How excessive is it? You can hardly ship anything for less than $10 these days, so what would you be ripped off for...$5? Why don't you quit wasting people's time with your silly questions? You're not going to buy anything; you never do. Heck, you don't even play pool.
Maybe there's one good thing about this stupid thread, though; you may have turned some serious buyers onto a good product...some who are not so cheap.

i just started a new business a few years ago and shipping to my customers is a daily occurence. i can tell you it's not cheap. especially if you do it right.
box - $1.50 to $3.00
packing material - $.25 to $1.50
time - depends on who packs it - if he pays someone to pack it you have to split their time in to 15 minute blocks because that is probobly how long it takes to pull, pack and get ready for the carrier
shipping - depending on his location to location, weight, size of box $4.50 to $10
suck it up. it's a product that works. i have paid higher than what i thought was propper shipping on many items, if i felt the item was worth it. i met mr. hager a few months ago here in GA. and he had a few of his cases and a few extentions. they are top notch equipment. and they are worth the price. pay the money get the goods.

Your post has merit, the USPS has CHEAP SHIPPING RATE, it is called Parcel Post. Most Major cities have Paper Store like ARVEY's who have GREAT PRICES on Boxes, Tape, etc.
when buying from a business you get it shipped how they ship it. not how YOU would ship it. and i don't know of any busniesses who use parcel post. and i but my boxes and tape in BULK (300 to 700 a clip) so i DON'T CARE who's paper store is selling what you're not buying them CHEAPER. i can see where you're coming from now, you're CHEAP. i am sorry and i hate to be mean but i call it how i see it. 15 bucks is the cost of doing business. if you want to buy from john that's his price. pay it or wait for a used one to come up and see what the seller will charge you. i can tell you this i've tested one and i'm guessing the total package would weigh less than 6 lbs. the box would be about 16" long by 4" wide by 4" high going from GA. to AZ. would take four days and cost $16 dollars (not including the package or my time) via ups. flate rate priority from the usps would be about $10 bucks but that includes a box (however i can't verify the item would fit in that box). so again, if you want it pay for it.

....not taking any sides but, I send stuff (shoes,toys,video games,etc..) to my son in Texas ALL the time through USPS due to they are the cheapest I have found. A box a little bigger than a shoe box runs about $12 Priority mail. Flea bay item's are the same if not more. So he makes an extra $3 bucks.

Since when is trying to save a few bucks being cheap? Deacon was selling the extensions with shipping for $25. If you buy it from the Hager website it runs $40 with shipping. I'm sure the the Cowboy would rather have that $15 in his pocket than in Hager's pocket - and I don't blame him.
well i'll tell ya that's amazing. oh wait it's not. decon probobly bought a huge quantity and got a price break so he could, in turn, sell them cheaper. thrifty mcgee here wants one. not 10 not 100 not 1000 just 1. so if deacon still has 'em great if he doesn't - john hager charges what he charges. and it is being cheap when you get on forum and basically insult the manufacturer of a product saying he charges too much for shipping when in fact the shipping charge is more than justifiable.
