As far as I'm aware the tanning is not much different, but this is one are I know nothing about, have done some bear, beaver and buffalo hides in the past but have not got my hands on shark hide. I got my feelers out to the captains in the harbor over here if one of them comes up with a shark. But most of the time they will cut them loose, because it is bad luck over here to kill one. But I figure if they can make boots from it why not try it as a layer tip. Then maybe try some ostrich tip. They may be fast but I'm sure they will not get airborne very well.
