Hand talc for wood cues???

I carry a small bottle in my case. The key is not to overuse it, just a little dab between the index finger and thumb on the bridge hand, wipe off the excess. If you do it right none of it will get on the table.

I noticed that my shaft will start out nice and smooth like glass then after usiing powder its rough again. I also tride that invisible powder but it didnt seem to work. Smelled good though lol,

I've experianced this same thing. I used to always use talc, but now not at all, before I play I wash my hands and use cold water (it closes pores) and keep a towl in my case. IMO it works better this way.

Powder

Remember...'baby powder' has lanolin in it > which is a mosturizer...it really is not DRY. Use a real TALC if you must. The cone is a really good idea ! ... you can put your sweaty hands on someone elses sweaty hand prints...does not make much sense. Wash your hands often or keep a wet and dry towel at your chair.

Very rarely use powder myself unless it very humid, but when i do I prefer to use a talc bag.It takes up almost no room in my case and makes aplication to my hands easier with no extra wasted powder geting on everything. http://www.billiardwarehouse.com/accessories/grsmsr.html

Maybe I will get some of that, its only 3 bucks. Do you know how long it will last? Something like that seems to only last like a couple of weeks.

i dont sell th german stuff but it probably wouldnt take more than 10 minutes on a ".de" search engine where to order it and have it shipped, it might cost $10 or$20 but it will last forever(months if you play 5 days a week), making it cheap. I have been playing since 85 and used everythng glove etc. nothing beats the German stuff. i'm gonnig again in a couple months and i'll bring back a case or find a spot we can order from. I'm only doing this to help people I have pleanty of $$, ive been lucky there-thats a different story.

use a glove. miles smoother than anything else, and it's consistent. no hassle, and you can afford to sweat a tad on your hand with no worries at all.

try one for a week. strange at first but you probably will stick to one!

tried it, love the concept etc, but couldnt get there with it and at the time I was playing good,

when I go to Germany i'm gonna get a lot of tins of the powder and give them to a few people to try, and find a source so anyone who wants it can get it, i'm telling you it is amazing. Ive been looking for the best powder forever and a day and I finally found it, the only way it gets on the table is if you dont wipe it off your hand, and when you do wipe it off your still dry for along time and it dosent accumlate in the palm of your hand like the cone junk. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer-but I have had this wet hand problem forever and I found a solution. My $$$ is made I just want to hook up my friends, and @ $4 how much $$ could anyone make?

when I get back from Germany next time, i'll send 20 cans out to people here for free who have lots of posts and wet hands and then we can compair notes. The Germans do it right.

Yeah, I think I will do that instead, no talc on the table or on my pants! But.... then again its more expensive lol:D

I tried a glove. With a Cuetec you will finally need one :D Good I don't play with it now. For me a glove is too smooth. I couldn't control my backswing and occasionally hit the cb in pre-strokes. And I don't feel the wood of the shaft like I do without a glove.
I tried talcum powder as well, been using it for a year or so. I still do carry it though I only lend it to my partners now.
Today when I waxed my shaft properly all I need is to wash my hands when I feel the shaft is not as smooth as it should be, and wipe it with a towel.
At the Philippines they use talc extensively, there are just small hills at each table :) And I've heard they used to put these even on the table rails for future use  But they don't overuse it, just apply some to the shaft and do some strokes so that the contact points on the wrist are covered.
Using talc might also help you get moment for a deep breath needed before a vital shot on the cheese, seen it plenty of times :p
