Hal was the greatest in a number of ways. I hope stories of him go for another 100. Will pool rooms still be around and the game
played as well as any pool forums?
Hal was smarter than the average bear! He was also one of the last few to have walked with legends. The only thing better than listening to him talking aiming systems was listening to him stick a knife in old time pool players. He traveled with Greenleaf, knew most name players of the era if not all. Stuck a knife in every one of them when talking about them. It wasn't particularly malicious, just gossip when the people were long in the ground.
I talked to him hours every time I called, aside from a little early on the first call we didn't talk about aiming systems. Hal probably had several dozen aiming systems and could make them work. I am not greedy and have one that works. That is enough.
I almost hate to say Rest In Peace Hal, you kept enough other people spinning in their graves!(GRIN)
